   On Jan. 11, 2008, the award of 2007 Best Corporate Public Image was unveiled in Beijing. Mengniu Group, the leading enterprise of Chinese dairy industry, gained this honor again together with Lenovo and Haier. At the succession of the new year, when people from the whole world are focusing on the economic trend for the new year in China, these national brands known to the globe has demonstrated the responsibility and power of Made in China with their outstanding contribution in respects of environmental protection, recyclable economy and social commonweal affairs.
Growth Champion Comes from King of Responsibility
  The Award of Best Corporate Public Image of this year is one of the links of the serious academic study of the Annual Selection of Best Corporate Public Image sponsored by the Corporate Research Institute of the Development Research Center of the State Council, Chinese Credit Research Center of Peking University, Sohu Finance and Guanghua Media. The study in the nature of complete independence has been lasted for 3 years with the involvement of hundreds of economic researchers and experts from authoritative media; it is the only domestic comprehensive corporate assessment, which introduces public evaluation, academic research, media monitoring and spreading into the field of corporate evaluation and is named as the Standard of Social Responsibility in China by the world.
  Experts said that the fact that the national leading brands such as Mengniu Group, Lenovo and Haier etc. could be qualified for consecutive several years showed the social responsibility had already become one of the basic strategies for the development of Chinese leading enterprises, which would fully drive the investment of national enterprises into social commonweal affairs and bring the over-all upgrade of the public image for these enterprises. Mengniu Group, as the traditional industry from agriculture with its productive chain involving thousands of farmers and consumers, has become the model case for the experts to analyze the social responsibility taken by Chinese enterprises with its innovative and effective work in the respects of recyclable economy, milk popularization and staff wealth etc. 
 Share Growth and Join in Harmonious Grassland
  Over one among three cups of milk consumed by Chinese people currently is made by Mengniu Group, which has not only become the champion of Chinese market, but also gained the favor of consumers from dozens of countries and areas including Singapore, Malaysia, Russia, HK and Macau etc. and become the general champion of liquid milk in the world with a daily production and sales capacity of over 10,000 tons. At the time to enlarge production capacity and import advanced equipments and skills, Mengniu Group has not forgotten to take Green as its logo, started the systematic project to treat environment and strive to be green company. On one hand, Mengniu Group has converted farmland into grassland and imported quality grass seeds to set up the largest one-in-all farm called Mengniu Austasia International Farm; one the other hand, the Company has effectively controlled the environmental pollution, made full use of cows' dung and waste materials to establish the project of electricity generated by biogas and developed recyclable economy.
  According to the statistics, within 8 years of business building, Mengniu Group has invested RMB 400 million to set up the sewage treatment factories at each production base all around China, among which 60% has realized on-line supervision. Meanwhile, the Company has also built up the large project of Electronic Generation by Biogas of Mengniu Austasia International Farm with an installed capacity of 1.36 MW, formed the economical system of a beneficial cycle of planting, breeding and manufactory, realizing the target of non-public hazard, non-pollution and zero discharge of farm sewage. The project produces 12,000 m3 biogas every day with a daily generation of 30,000 KW of electricity and 350,000 tons of organic fertilizer for the planting of non- public hazard vegetables. It has achieved the double harvest of economy and environment, and realized the harmony between the corporate development and environment. At the same time, the Company has also set up a model for the industry in terms of the implementation of new Labor's Law and the inspiration of staff wealth. According to the latest investigation of the related department, after the new set of salary adjustment, the per capita monthly income of Mengniu Group has reached RMB 2,217 in 2007, which not only took lead in the dairy industry of Inner Mongolia, but also in China to a great extend.  
  In recent years, by coordinating with many parties, Mengniu Group has actively responded to the call of Huhhot Party Committee and the city government to develop Headquarter Economy by mobilizing the shareholders of the Company from different places to pay individual stock income tax at Helingeer, striving to transfer the tax payable at abroad back to the local government so as to requite the local people, which has increased a substantial fiscal income to the local government.
