Yang Wenjun, Mr. Milk Was Invited to Boao Forum for Asia
  It is reported that Mr. Yang Wenjun, CEO from Mengniu Group was invited to Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) held from April 11 to 13 in Hainan. The man leading the biggest dairy enterprise in China has had a discussion themed Green Asia, Gain Mutual Winning by Reformation with official leaders, professional and economical experts from different countries. This is also the 2nd time for Mr. Yang to be invited to BFA. It is said that Milk Deluxe, which is the organic milk newly launched by Mengniu Group, has become the designated milk for the forum.
  It is recorded that BFA, which is the economical grand meeting to be held every year in Asia, has become the high-level platform for the business communication on Asia and the world among the related governmental, business and academic leaders from different continents. It is also the first choice for people from the industries to discuss and understand the issues such as macroeconomic situation, political trend, industrial development and other big events on people's livelihood in Asia. Regarding the impact on the global economy, BFA has such a influence as Davos World Economic Forum.
  On BFA last year, Mr. Yang Wenjun, CEO from Mengniu Dairy Group was named as Mr. Milk in China by the global media with his deep understanding of the historical mission of the industry of Agriculture, Villages and Farmers in China as well as his address in funny and smart words. The year of 2008 is the 30th anniversary for the reformation and opening in China; and BFA this year has become the greatest annual meeting in its history and has attracted more official leaders, economical experts and corporate representatives from different countries than ever before. Mr. Yang Wenjun has been invited once again to the forum for his achievements not only in the breakthrough development of Mengniu Group during last year under his leadership but also in the consistency of the ideas of environmental protection and the devotion to the mutual growth of the industrial chains.    
  In fact, the theme of this forum, which is Green Asia, Gain Mutual Winning by Reformation, has also been the developing ideas praised highly and persisted in by Mengniu Group. During the last year, Mengniu Group has made great efforts to develop green economy; it has set up the most advanced R&D center in the world and the largest one-in-all intellectualized plant of liquid milk at Helingeer, Inner Mongolia. In addition, in early 2008, the Group has invested RMB 45 million again to build the largest power plant generated by animal biogas and realized a complete ecological production chain in virtuous circle. The Green Mengniu seems ready to go.
  However, it cannot fulfill the responsibility of a real leader only by means of green development of one company, but by means of mutual winning of the whole production chain and ecology, which is, the spirit of Green Asia advocated by BFA.
  In fact, throughout the year of 2007, Mengniu Group has firmly persisted in its operation idea of seeking mutual winning with the production chain and environment. During the time when the whole dairy industry of China has been impacted by the global price rising of raw materials, Mengniu Group has made all efforts to maintain the stable price of the retailing end on one hand, and has raised the purchase price for raw milk to protect the interest of dairy farmers on the other hand. Last year, Mengniu Group had a daily milk collection of over 10,000 tons and took the first place in Asia with over 3 million farmers benefited from it, supporting the healthy growth of the dairy industry effectively.
  As the area with the rapidest and most active growth of economy in the world, Asia has increasingly become the global focus. However, the quick growth of most of the enterprises in Asian countries has resulted in the over consumption of resources, depravation of environment and unbalance of ecology. Under the situation of drying up of the global resources and regular energy, this growth style in high consumption will be greatly restricted.
